Final: 8 teams will play in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, which will be divided into two groups of four. Group A has India, Pakistan, New Zealand, and Bangladesh, while England, South Africa, Australia, and Afghanistan are part of Group B. Two teams each from both groups will make it to the semi-finals. The last game between India and Pakistan was also a thriller, which went to the last ball of the match. This game was played during the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. These two played on June 9, 2024, in New York. It was a low-scoring match. After winning the toss, Pakistan bowled first. India managed a below-par total of 119 in their first innings. Rishabh Pant (42 off 31) and Axar Patel (20 off 18) were the top scorers. Naseem Shah (3/21) and Haris Rauf (3/21) took three wickets each.
In reply, Pakistan were cruising to victory at one stage when they were 73/2 in 12.1 overs and needed 47 runs off 47 balls, with 8 wickets in hand. But Jasprit Bumrah (3/14) and Hardik Pandya (2/24) bowled tightly, and Pakistan only managed 113/7 to lose the game by just six runs. Pakistan were eliminated from the group stage, and India won the tournament.
