With the Champions Trophy 2025<\/a> almost over, teams will now set their eyes on the next year’s T20 World Cup<\/a>. And the Asian teams will start preparing for the global T20 tournament with the Asia Cup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The continental cricket tournament will return in 2025. Keeping in mind the T20<\/a> World Cup, it will follow the shorter format this time around.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) will organise the Asia Cup 2025 in September, though the confirmed dates are not known yet. Additionally, it will take place in a neutral country, even though India are the official hosts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As many as eight teams will be in action in the Asia Cup 2025. Five full members – Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka – gained automatic qualification, while the UAE, Oman, and Hong Kong qualified through the 2024 ACC Premier Cup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These teams will be divided into two groups of eight sides each. During the group stage, they will face the other group members once.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then, the top two teams from both groups will move into the Super Four stage, where the four sides will take on one another to seal the two final spots.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In all, 19 matches will take place in the Asia Cup 2025, with the possibility of rivals India and Pakistan meeting three times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
