The Sunrisers Hyderabad<\/a> announced the signing of South African all-rounder Wiaan Mulder as a replacement for Brydon Carse in the IPL 2025<\/a>. Mulder has been performing exceedingly well with bat and ball as a solid all-rounder for South Africa’s white-ball side throughout the tournaments he had played in thus far.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What happened to Brendon Carse?:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

\u00a0Carse was injured while playing against Australia during the ICC Champions Trophy<\/a> and later was ruled out of the tournament after the first game. Brydon Carse, well-known for pulling something out of the hat during critical moments, made it into England’s Champions Trophy <\/a>squad on the back of completion runs in ODIs and T20Is<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, apart from having very poor economy runs, he suffered a foot injury from playing against Australia and as a result was ruled out of the Champions Trophy <\/a>and IPL 2025. In the mega auction last year, he had been bought for INR 1 crore.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, Wiaan Mulder from South Africa has represented the Proteas in eleven T20 Internationals, managing to score 105 runs and take eight wickets. Overall, he has played 128 matches in T20 cricket<\/a>, including T20 leagues, scoring 2,172 runs and taking 67 wickets. However, he is yet to play in the IPL; hence, it will be his debut in the tournament.
