Even though there were stories about Nitin resigning, Saikia says the board wanted him to stick around.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Right now, the BCCI is searching for someone to take Nitin’s place since he said he can’t continue because of personal reasons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Saikia told The Times of India, The media got it wrong. Patel didn’t quit. His contract ended on December 31, 2024. We asked him to stay for another three months, and he agreed. So, he’ll be done by March 31, 2025.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n He added, We’re trying to find a replacement. We’re talking to a few people. We wanted Nitin to stay, but he has a urgent family matter, so we’ll find someone else.<\/p>\n\n\n\n PTI reported earlier that the BCCI\u2019s Center of Excellence is moving on without Nitin since he resigned, according to a BCCI source.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The source said, Yes, Nitin quit as head of the Sports Science and Medical Team. He did a great job, especially setting up the Sports Science and Medical team. Whenever an injured player had rehab, they came back better than ever.
