He recently worked with the USA men\u2019s team, guiding them to a notable <a href=\"https:\/\/uccricket.live\/cricket\/t20\/\">T20I <\/a>series win against Bangladesh and a spot in the Super Eights of the 2024 T20 World Cup, but his time there ended after just over seven months. He has also coached teams like Bangladesh and West Indies, and briefly took the reins for Sri Lanka and Afghanistan. Notably, he led Bangladesh to their first-ever Asia Cup final in 2012. On top of all that, he\u2019s held various coaching roles in Australia, including being a batting coach for the national team and working with the Under-19 team. As a player, Law played in 54 ODIs and one Test match for Australia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His predecessor, Monty Desai, saw a steady improvement during his time, with Nepal achieving whitewash victories against the USA (in T20Is) and Canada (in ODIs) in early 2024. Still, the team struggled in major tournaments, finishing winless in their second-ever T20 World Cup in 2024 and also not winning a match in their first ODI Asia Cup in 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Law\u2019s first challenge with Nepal will be an important tri-series against Scotland and the Netherlands in June, part of the ICC Men\u2019s Cricket World Cup League 2. Currently, Nepal is near the bottom of the League 2 table, so this upcoming series is a key opportunity for them to improve.
