In T20I cricket or T20 cricket in general, scoring 150 runs for a batter is a difficult job. Batters need to score quickly which means they take a bit too many risks. This means that they might get out before even scoring a 100 let alone scoring 150. This is a reason there are only four 150-plus scores in T20I cricket and in this listicle, we will rank them.
Fastest 150-plus scores
1. Hazratullah Zazai (57 balls)
The Afghanistan opening batter hit 162 not out against Ireland in 2019. He helped his side post the highest T20I total at the time, i.e 278/3. Zazai completed his 150 in just 57 balls, i.e 9.3 overs of the game. He ended up with 162 in 62 balls and his team won the game by 84 runs.
2. Aaron Finch (60 balls)
The T20 World Cup 2021 winning captain is the only player at this level to score two 150-plus scores. His first one came against his Ashes rivals England in 2013. He completed his 150 in just 60 balls and hit the maximum number of sixes (14) in an innings at that point. Currently, this record is held by Sahil Chauhan with 18 sixes.
3. YSD Seneveratne (67 balls)
Cayman Islands international YSD completed his 150 in the last over of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup sub-regional Qualifier 2024 match against Brazil. The Sri Lanka-born scored unbeaten 150 in just 67 balls including 13 sixes and seven four. He helped his side score 224/1 and his team won the game by 159 runs.
4. Aaron Finch (69 balls)
The former Australia skipper scored his second & last 150-plus score against Zimbabwe in 2018. He also registered the highest individual score in T20Is, i.e 171 not out. Meanwhile, the right-hander completed his 150 in 69 balls and ended up with 171 in 76 balls, i.e 12.4 overs of batting.
