India’s highest total against South Africa came in the 2022 series. They amassed 237 runs in the first innings in Guwahati on October 2, which they defended successfully.
Two days later, South Africa posted their highest total in Indore. They put up 227 runs on the board in the first innings.
India’s lowest total against the Proteas came way back in 2015, as they were bowled out for 92 runs. South Africa’s top the chart among these two sides, as they logged the lowest score of 87 in 2022.
Speaking of individuals, David Miller and Rohit Sharma are the highest run-scorers from both sides. Miller leads the chart with 452 runs in 18 innings, while Sharma scored 429 runs in 17 outings.
Among the bowlers, Bhuvneshwar Kumar has picked up the most wickets for India, with 14 scalps under his belt. For South Africa, left-arm spinner Keshav Maharaj has taken the most, with 12 wickets to his name.
