David Warner is among those few overseas players who have left an indelible mark in the IPL. Except for a couple of seasons, the left-hander has been the most consistent run-maker in the league.
Warner has accumulated over 6,500 runs while playing for Delhi Capitals (DC) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). He first gained prominence with Delhi before leading SRH to their IPL title in 2016.
Warner’s best performances also came for SRH, scoring 500-plus runs in six consecutive seasons. He has established himself as one of the best openers in the IPL.
Here we’ll look at David Warner’s IPL career stats, records, and salary in every season.

Want to know which team David Warner will play for in IPL 2025?
After his below-par outing in IPL 2024, it was pretty evident that David Warner won’t get retained. But looking at his past performance, the left-hander is a reliable opening option.
And Delhi Capitals can’t ignore it. They have also not retained any of their previous season’s openers. So it will be important for them to have someone with experience at the top. Warner fills the criteria pretty well, and DC may look to buy him back at a lower price.
