After the conclusion of the World Test Championship (WTC) 2023-25 cycle in June 2025, India will start the next edition right away. The Indian team will begin their WTC 2025-27 cycle with a five-match Test series against England starting in June 2025.
It will be another two-year cycle, with India playing six series against six teams. Three of them will take place at home while they travel away for the other three series.
In the WTC 2025-27 cycle, India will square off against West Indies, South Africa, and Australia at home. And they will fly to England, Sri Lanka, and New Zealand for their away tours.
India’s WTC 2025-27 schedule kicks off with an away tour of England, with the first Test scheduled at Headingley starting on June 20. Edgbaston will host the second Test starting July 2, while the Lord’s will stage the third starting July 10. Old Trafford (Jul 23-27) and The Oval (Jul 31-Aug 4) will host the last two Tests.

After a two-month gap, India will get ready to host West Indies and South Africa on home soil. West Indies will arrive in October 2025, while South Africa will land in November. India will play two Test matches each against both teams.
Then, the Men in Blue will resume their WTC 2025-27 campaign in August 2026 by touring neighbouring Sri Lanka. It will be another two-match Test series between the Asian sides.
In October-November 2026, India will travel to New Zealand for their last away series of the fourth WTC cycle. They will take on the Kiwis in a two-match series.
India’s last series of this edition will be against heavyweights Australia. Both teams will battle out in the five-match Border Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) in January-February 2027. The final of the WTC 2025-27 will take place in June 2027.
