A lot of Indian cricketers have wives who are successful in their own right. For example, Virat Kohli is married to Anushka Sharma, who’s a famous actress. Rohit Sharma’s wife, Ritika Sajdeh, is a sports manager. And Ravindra Jadeja’s wife, Rivaba, has a pretty cool career too. She’s actually a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Jamnagar North in Gujarat.
It’s kind of a funny story how Rivaba and Jadeja got together. She was friends with Jadeja’s sister first. They met at a party, and Jadeja was head over heels for her right away. His sister helped them get closer, and they got married in 2016, about a year later. Jadeja’s family was also ready for him to settle down, which helped things along.
Rivaba is a mechanical engineer. Right now, she’s involved with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). She’s been the MLA for Jamnagar North since the 2022 elections. You can often see her in the stands, cheering for her husband during his matches.
Speaking of Jadeja, he’s had an amazing cricket career. He’s taken over 600 wickets in international games. To be exact, he’s grabbed 608 wickets in 358 matches, with an average of 28.
His best bowling stats are 7 wickets for just 42 runs. He’s also had 20 matches where he took four wickets and 17 where he snagged five. He was a key player in India’s wins at the 2025 T20 World Cup and the 2025 Champions Trophy.
