D’Arcy Short holds the record for most fours in a single BBL season. He scored 62 fours in 11 matches during the BBL 07 in 2017-2018. Aaron Finch is in the second place, he scored 55 fours in 13 matches during the BBL 08. The most names in the top four run scorers in BBL is Cameron Bancroft, who scored 48 fours in 16 matches during the BBL 12 in 2022–23.

Sydney Thunder’s opener David Warner topped the list the most fours in BBL 14 (2024-25). Warner scored 44 fours in the entire tournament. The young-star from Hobart Hurricanes, Mitchell Owen, is in the second position for the most fours in the BBL 14, he scored 35 fours in the entire tournament, and also helped his team to win their maiden BBL title.
