Indian Premier League is a T20 cricket tournament that is famous around the world for its amazing batting and interesting games. Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) holds the record for the highest runs as the team has scored a total of 287/3 runs and the match was against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) on 15th of April 2024. 1. Sunrisers Hyderabad (287/3)
On 15th of April, 2024, Sunrisers Hyderabad stunned everyone by scoring the highest total for IPL, leaving behind their previous record against Royal Challengers Bangalore. They won the match by scoring an incredible 287 for three. It is the second-highest total in T20 history worldwide which shows their brilliant batting ability.
2. Sunrisers Hyderabad (277/3)
SRH on 27th of March 2024 ended one of the longest-running records held by RCB as they scored 277 for the loss of only 3 wickets. Heinrich Klaasen, Abhishek Sharma, Travis Head, and Aiden Markram rewrote IPL history as they broke RCB’s record of the longest period of time spent in the league’s highest total. The record was held for over a decade by RCB till the last minute in the final over, courtesy of Klaasen for SRH to win it.

3. Kolkata Knight Riders (272/7)
It was on 3rd of April in 2024 that Kolkata Knight Riders scored the third-highest score of IPL that is 272 runs by losing 7 wickets. The match was held against Delhi Capitals. In the last IPL season of 2024 most of the new high scores have been achieved by the teams and it is one of them.
4. Sunrisers Hyderabad (266/7)
Sunrisers Hyderabad scored the 4th highest scores in the IPL history on 20th of April in 2024. From this one may say that SRH had a strong batting order last season as out of the top 4 highest scores three are by SRH.
The match was against Delhi Capitals and was held in the home ground of Delhi but the winners were Sunrisers Hyderabad with a score of 266 runs with the loss of 7 wickets.
5. Royal Challengers Bengaluru (263/5)
It is a long-held record by Royal Challengers Bengaluru as the score was made on 23rd of April in 2013. The match was against Pune Warriors and was held in Bangalore. The team scored 263 runs and lost 5 wickets in the meanwhile. For some time in the past it was the highest of scores in the IPL tournaments since its beginning.
6. Punjab Kings (262/2)
The team scored a total of 262 runs with the loss of 2 wickets on 26th of April in 2024. The match was against Kolkata Knight Riders and was held in their home ground that is in Kolkata.

7. Royal Challengers Bengaluru (262/7)
On 15th of April in 2024, Royal Challengers Bengaluru scored 262 runs with the loss of 7 wickets and it became the seventh highest score in the history of IPL. The match was against SRH and was held in RCB’s home ground.
8. Kolkata Knight Riders (261/6)
The team scored a total of 261 runs with the loss of 6 wickets on 26th of April in 2024 which is right now the eight highest in the IPL’s history. The match was held against Punjab Kings at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.
9. Delhi Capitals (257/4)
Delhi Capitals scored a 257 runs with the loss of 4 wickets and it became the ninth highest of all time in IPL. The match was against Mumbai Indians and was held in Delhi on 27th of April; 2024.
10. Lucknow Super Giants (257/5)
Lucknow Super Giants scored a total of 257 runs on 28th of April in 2023 and lost only 5 wickets that day. The match was held against Punjab Kings at Mohali Stadium.
Conclusion
Out of these top 10 highest scores in IPL of all time most of them are from the IPL tournament season of 2024. Eight of these are from the previous year this shows that the batting game of most of the teams is improving year after year.
Thus, it is hoped in the IPL season of 2025 all these records get broken again as such intense games will be challenging for both the teams and the fans will also enjoy it the utmost.
