The Final step on the road to victory for the Rajasthan Royals is just a match away. Soon qualifier 2 of the IPL 2024 scheduled to be held on May 24, 2024, between RR and SRH will decide who will finally make its way into the final, and become the Victor of the 2024 season.
RR Geared Up to Give it All in the 2024 IPL Qualifier 2
The team members of both teams are all set to give their all while competing against each other, both anticipating gaining the ticket to the IPL finals and winning the title. RR and SRH are both highly competitive and tough teams that have had a fair share of records in the IPL history.
Notably, RR has composed itself with players of a higher level of skill, such as Jos Butler, Sanju Samson., Ravichandran Ashwin, Yuzvendra Chahal, Trent Boult and so on. This squad of players can be a tough competition for SRH in the upcoming match.
If you look at the IPL matches of the previous seasons, RR won the IPL title once in 2008, in the inaugural year of the league and in 2022, where it ended up getting into the finals but lost the title to Gujarat Titans.

IPL 2008: RR Won the IPL Title Against CSK (June 1st 2008)
2008 was the inaugural year of the IPL where Rajasthan Royals emerged to be like no other team in the tournament and became champions of the season. It was the most anticipated match that RR played against CSK at the DIY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai.
In the match, CSK chose to bat first and made a score of 163 runs for the loss of wickets, easily chased down by RR. Suresh Raina was the top scorer for CSK with a score of 43 runs and Yusuff Pathan from the RR became its bowling hero, taking 3 crucial wickets for 22 runs.
It was A tough task for RR to chase the score of talented CSK but Shane Watson and Yousuf Pathan, making 38 runs and 33 runs respectively turned the tables for the game and RR managed to score 164 runs with only 3 balls left.
IPL 2022: RR was Runners Up, Defeated by Gujarat Titans (May 29’ 2022)
In 2022, Rajasthan Royals qualified for the final and chose to bat first but ended up scoring 130 runs despite openers Jos Buttler and Yashasvi Jaiswal but Hardik Pandya’s bowling skills (3 wickets for 17 runs) crippled RR’s batting order.
The Titans displayed exceptional performances with Shubman Gill (45 runs) and Wriddhiman Saha (52 runs) which laid a strong foundation for their victory.
Despite losing wickets, crucial contributions from Rahul Tewatia (24 runs) ensured a comfortable 7-wicket victory for the Gujarat Titans in just 18.1 overs, and they won their debut IPL season, with the Rajasthan Royals finishing as runners-up.
With the previous performances of RR in 2008 and getting heartbroken by the game at the final stage. RR will now give their best shot in Qualifier 2 in the hope of winning against SRH and fulfilling their unfilled dream to win the IPL title in 2024.
