The IPL 2025 final is between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Punjab Kings (PBKS). Both teams have played in the IPL since it started, but neither has won the title in 17 years. This match is a big chance for one team to finally win. RCB has lost three finals before, and this could be Virat Kohli’s first IPL trophy. PBKS has also had a tough history, but they’ve played strong this season. The game will be held in Ahmedabad, where PBKS has already won twice. Fans are excited, but one team will leave heartbroken while the other celebrates a long-awaited win.
Virat Kohli vs Arshdeep Singh

Virat Kohli will definitely walk into the spotlight. Kohli scored 614 runs in 14 innings at an average of 55.81 and a strike rate of 146.53, managing eight half-centuries. The Kings will bank on their top wicket-taker, left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh, to get him out early. Virat Kohli has gone up against Arshdeep twice in T20s and got out at both times but still has a strike rate of 175.43 against him.
Jitesh Sharma vs Yuzvendra Chahal

Then we have Jitesh Sharma versus Yuzvendra Chahal. Jitesh had ensured a brilliant RCB win against Lucknow Super Giants in their previous fixture where he scored an unbeaten 85 off 33 balls- a record chase for RCB. Being a leg spinner, Chahal came into the spotlight, his performance against Jitesh stands out as he has dismissed him thrice from seven innings.

Shreyas Iyer vs Bhuvneshwar Kumar

Shreyas Iyer will face Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Bhuvneshwar may not have been good lately, but he’s still a big player against Iyer, who has been scoring heavily at 603 runs with a strike rate 177.80. Bhuvneshwar has got Iyer out thrice in 11 T20 innings, holding his strike rate down to 90.5
Rajat Patidar vs Yuzvendra Chahal

The RCB skipper is a great leader but is perhaps weak in batting form lately. And RCB needs him to come through with a big performance when it really matters. Chahal will be waiting for him. Patidar has a strike rate of 148.1 against Chahal in four meetings, but he has been caught out by him twice this season. If Chahal finds his lengths, he could tilt the contest in PBKS’ favour. How well Patidar can deal with Chahal’s spin will be very important for RCB through the middle overs.

And on the other hand, Hazlewood stands as the top wicket-taker for RCB with 21 wickets at 15.80; he has dismissed Stoinis just once in five T20 innings, whereas Stoinis has a strike rate of 142.30 against him.
