The 17th edition of the Asia Cup all takes place in the United Arab Emirates. The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) announced the schedule of the tournament featuring the top 8 teams in the Asian region. The current champion, India, along with Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan, qualified on the basis of past results or rankings.
Hong Kong, Oman, and the hosts, the UAE, are the other three teams that made it through the ACC Men’s Premier Cup 2024. Unlike the last season, this tournament will be played in T20 format. India and Sri Lanka have won one edition each in T20I format.
This tournament will hold a lot of value because the upcoming T20 World Cup 2026 is also just six months away, and these teams can prepare well here. The tournament will begin with a group round with four teams each in two groups. Then the Super Four will be followed with the final on September 28.

The Asian Cricket Council has only announced the schedule and host nation for the Asia Cup 2025. The exact venues have yet to be confirmed. However, according to some media reports and sources, the venues in Dubai and Abu Dhabi are the front-runners to host these matches.
