Afghanistan Tour of Zimbabwe 2024-25 (2 Tests, 3 ODIs and 3 T20Is)
Afghanistan beat Bangladesh 2-1 in an ODI. This was followed by an Afghanistan tour of Zimbabwe for a multi-format series in December 2024 and January 2025. All six white-ball matches were played at Harare Sports Club, and two tests took place at Queens Sports Club.

Champions Trophy 2025 (Pakistan)
For the first time in history, Afghanistan played in the ICC Champions Trophy. The ninth edition took place in Pakistan. Afghanistan made it to the tournament after they finished sixth in the ICC ODI World Cup 2023. The top 8 teams from that tournament qualified for the Champions Trophy 2023. Afghanistan was part of Group B along with Australia, England, and South Africa.

Afghanistan Tour of Ireland 2025 (1 Test, 3 T20Is and 3 ODIs)
After the Champions Trophy 2025, Afghanistan will be ready to travel to Ireland for a multi-format tour. These two teams will be playing one test, three ODIs, and three T20Is on this tour, which will be played in July 2025. Afghanistan Tour of Pakistan 2025 (3 T20Is)
Afghanistan and Pakistan have produced some thrilling games in the past year or so. Whenever these two have come up against each other, fans have got their money worth. They will be up against each other once again in August 2025 and will play a three-match T20I series in Pakistan. It will be a great series as both teams will prepare for the Asia Cup 2025 and T20 World Cup 2026.
Asia Cup 2025
The 17th edition of the men’s Asia Cup is scheduled to take place in India. It will have six teams, and 13 matches will be played during October 2025. Afghanistan are one of the six participants to play in this tournament. They are slated in Group B with Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. The two teams from both groups will qualify for the Super Four and then the final. India will host the T20 World Cup 2026, so this will give teams a great chance to adjust to the Indian conditions.

In a span of one year, Afghanistan will tour Zimbabwe for multi-format series. They have a tour of Zimbabwe in December 2024 and January 2025, where they will play 2 Tests, 3 ODIs, and 3 T20Is, and then back in October and November 2025, Afghanistan will tour Zimbabwe for 2 Tests, 3 ODIs, and 3 T20Is.
