The Andhra Pradesh Cricket Association is in talks to construct the world’s biggest Cricket stadium. The stadium will have a massive sitting capacity for the audience. As a total of 1.25 lakh people can be accommodated in the stadium to witness a live match at once
Currently the largest stadium in India is the Narendra Modi stadium which is situated in Ahemdabad . Speaking about the same ,Andhra Pradesh Cricket Association president Kesineni Sivanath said that the state government is set to allot 60 acres of land for the making of the stadium.
Chinni reportedly told the media during an informal conversation that the project could be the part of a large, another 200 acres sports city in Amaravathi and the fund is being sought from the BCCI and is also being collected from outside. “This ground will set an example regarding cricket infrastructure in the country and will put Amaravati on the global sports map,” Chinni added .
Considering the stadium, ACA is also a contender to host the National Games in 2029. Sivanath went on to articulate that three cricket academies dedicated to the National Cricket Academy and the Mithali Raj and Robin Singh academies are passionately pursued. Chinni feels that he is very sure and happy to see at least 15 players of Andhra Pradesh reaching IPL in the next two years because of the large pool of local talents.
