The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have prised the services of Zimbabwean fast bowler Blessing Muzarabani as a replacement for South African pacer Lungisani Ngidi. Ngidi is off to join South Africa for the World Test Championship final 2025 against Australia at Lord’s, beginning June 11, 2025. Muzarabani will become an official member of the RCB squad from May 26, 2025. and it is interesting that he had remained unsold at the IPL 2025 auction in Jeddah.
Blessing Muzarabani now becomes the fifth player from Zimbabwe to feature in the IPL. The first was Tatenda Taibu, who played for Kolkata Knight Riders in the very first season back in 2008.
Ray Price followed in 2011 when he was chosen by Mumbai Indians, and Brendan Taylor was picked up by SunRisers Hyderabad in 2014 but has never played a game. Sikandar Raza played last year, representing Punjab Kings, in two matches.

Aged 28, Muzarabani seems to have garnered enough international experience, playing 70 T20I matches and taking 78 wickets. Going on to his Test counts; he has played 12 games and 55 ODIs, which will definitely add a lot of oomph to the RCB bowling line-up, and he is signing for the side at a price of INR 75 lakh.
