Bangladesh and Pakistan will play a three-match T20I series starting from Sunday, July 20 at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka. This is another T20 series for both teams to build their squads for future T20 tournaments.
Pakistan hopes their young team will play hard in this series. With T20 World Cup in India and Sri Lanka next year, the team is working on building a solid base.
It’s worth noting that Pakistan will be without Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam for the third T20I series since the New Zealand tour in March. Their absence has been talked about but captain Salman Agha is still positive.
Talking to the media on Saturday before the first T20I, Salman said that Rizwan and Babar have done a lot for Pakistan in white-ball cricket. He added that the current team fits the needs of today’s T20 game.
“Babar and Rizwan are great players. They have done very well for Pakistan. But T20 cricket changes fast. We now have players who fit the aggressive style of cricket we want to play,” said Salman.

Salman also spoke well of the Bangladesh team, calling them tough especially at home. He said with their crowd support and the conditions they play in, Bangladesh is hard to beat on their own field.
Pakistan will be encouraged by their 3-0 T20I series win over Bangladesh in May which was also without Babar and Rizwan. They will want to do the same away from home and build a winning habit with the new leadership.
