Rajasthan Royals Team Manager, Mr. Ravinder Singh Bhinder, has been penalized with a fine of INR 1 Lakh by the BCCI for contravening the IPL PMOA Protocols. This infringement took place during Match 16 between Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bengaluru at ACA Stadium, Guwahati, on April 10, 2026.
The offence concerned the use of a mobile phone in the players’ dugout area, which is against the stipulations of Article 4.1.1 of the BCCI IPL PMOA Protocols. It is forbidden to use such devices as part of the rules that govern integrity and fairness.
However, Bhinder accepted that he had made a mistake, admitted the crime, and apologized unconditionally for his actions. Since this was his first mistake, the BCCI fined him INR 1 Lakh as per Article 7.42(a) of the protocol. He has received a strong warning and will be advised to be more careful in the future.
This particular situation highlights how serious BCCI is about any violations of PMOA at IPL 2026, considering the intensity of the tournament. Since Rajasthan Royals have been doing well in the league, any deviation from protocol can hamper their efforts to remain successful. It should be noted that all fans and participating teams understand the importance of adhering to the guidelines.
