RCB won their first IPL in 2025 but the joy was short-lived. A management blunder created chaos.
The day after winning, RCB had a victory celebration at Chinnaswamy Stadium which turned into a disaster. A stampede outside the stadium resulted in 11 deaths and 50 injuries and turned the celebration into a tragedy.
According to Deccan Herald, Chinnaswamy Stadium is now unfit to host future IPL games which means RCB might need a new home venue. Here are three options for RCB’s home games in IPL 2026.
- MCA Stadium, Pune: MCA Stadium in Pune hasn’t hosted an IPL game in a while but could be a good option for RCB. The stadium has a capacity of 42,700 which should be enough to accommodate RCB’s large fan base. It was the home ground of Rising Pune Supergiant. Historically it’s a high scoring surface which RCB’s batsmen would love.
- Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium, Nagpur: Teams often use Dharamsala as a second home ground but ignore the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur. The venue hosts Test matches and has everything needed to host an IPL game. The Nagpur Stadium is high scoring and with a capacity of 45,000 plenty of RCB fans can gather to support their players.

- HPCA Stadium, Dharamsala: Dharamsala is often used as a second option by IPL teams. In 2025, Punjab Kings played a few games here. It’s one of the newest cricket grounds in India and has modern facilities. Like MCA, it’s a high scoring venue and with RCB’s strength being their batting, the venue could be great for the upcoming season. The surface also offers something for the fast bowlers where players could come into play.
