Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have signed Zimbabwean fast bowler Blessing Muzarabani to replace Lungi Ngidi. Muzarabani joins the team for INR 75 lakhs starting May 26. Ngidi will be heading back to South Africa and will miss the playoffs due to a national duty.
Muzarabani has taken 78 wickets in 70 T20Is, stepping in for Ngidi, who was bought for INR 1 Crore. Ngidi played one match for RCB, taking three wickets for 30 runs against their rivals, Chennai Super Kings. RCB’s recent game against KKR was called off because of rain. With Rajat Patidar as captain, RCB will play SRH and LSG on May 23 and 27, but Ngidi won’t be around for their last group-stage game since he’s prepping for the WTC final against Australia.

With Josh Hazlewood out due to injury, Muzarabani could be a valuable asset for RCB. The team has already made it to the playoffs and aims to finish in the top two by winning their remaining games.
