Team India is getting ready for the WTC cycle 2025-27 at England for a crucial five-match series of Test cricket. A pre-departure press conference has been scheduled by the BCCI for the 5th of June, featuring newly appointed Test captain Shubman Gill and head coach Gautam Gambhir.
This will be the very first time Gill would be giving a media interaction after assuming the Test captaincy from Rohit Sharma. Gill and Gambhir will talk about the team’s preparation for England, the selection of the squad-a bunch of new guys mainly due to Kohli, Sharma, and Ashwin retiring-from a leadership point of view, whilst the team also adapts to these changes.
When is the press conference? June 5, 2025, at around 7:30 PM IST, at the BCCI Headquarters, Mumbai.
