Steve Smith of Australia is loving the England v India five-Test series for the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy.
Smith was speaking during an online media event arranged by Sony Sports Network on Sunday. I was watching the last day of the Oval Test before this. I was watching England v India on TV before this. Looks like it’s going to be a great last day, he said when asked if he’d been following the series.
Smith, with 10,477 runs in 119 Tests, didn’t want to pick either India or England to win. No favourites. I just want it to go to the last hour. A result will be good, like the other matches. It’s been a great series to watch, said Smith, who is looking forward to playing for Team Welsh Fire in The Hundred.

The Aussie batsman said the tournament, starting August 5, will help him get better at the shorter format as he aims for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. I wanted to play in more leagues and be more consistent in the shorter format. My next goal is the Olympics in LA. You want to improve and help any team you’re on. I’m looking forward to playing with the Welsh Fire in The Hundred for the first time. I hope I can do well and help the team, Smith said.
