This match indeed is important for RCB, for a victory could take them to the number two place in the points table from where they would have two ways to the final. Punjab Kings have snatched one, and now RCB has to fight hard for the other.
One major concern for fans is whether Tim David will be able to take the field today. It does not look good from very far, as he picked up a hamstring injury in the previous game against Sunrisers Hyderabad while attempting to stop a four and had to walk off the field.

He has had a brilliant campaign, scoring 187 runs from nine innings with a strike rate of 185.14, the highest for his side. He has even scored a fifty and is averaging over 62 per dismissal, making him one of the most efficient performers this season among batsmen batting below number 3.
RCB will certainly hope that he can recover by the time playoffs start, since he has been a great asset for them. Should Tim not make it, RCB might have to consider either Liam Livingstone or Tim Seifert as his replacement.
