Yashasvi Jaiswal is on a roll in the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy. He has scored 291 runs in 7 innings, at an average of 41.57.
On the first day of the 4th Test in Manchester, he hit his 12th fifty. Many thought the pitch would be tough for batsmen but he handled it well. This is also his 2nd fifty of the tour, he started the series with a hundred in Leeds.
This fifty is his 17th fifty plus in 43 innings of the ICC World Test Championship. He is now equal with former captain Rohit Sharma who also has 17 fifty plus in 69 innings.

Before the Manchester Test started Jaiswal had surpassed both Virat Kohli (16 fifty plus in 79 innings) and Cheteshwar Pujara (16 fifty plus in 62 innings).
Now only Rishabh Pant (21 fifty plus in 67 innings) and Ravindra Jadeja (19 fifty plus in 65 innings) are ahead of him in the list of fifty plus scores in the ICC World Test Championship. Jaiswal is making a statement.
