Hockey India League 2024-25: Schedule, Squads, Captains, Venue and Live Streaming

After India’s success in the previous two Olympics, Hockey India has restarted the much-awaited Hockey India League (HIL). India’s premier hockey league will commence on December 28, 2024, in Rourkela.

This is the sixth edition of the Hockey India League, with the previous season being played back in 2017. There will be eight teams in the fray in the men’s Hockey India League 2024-25 season.

The eight men’s teams will first square off against each other in Phase 1 before Phase 2 gets underway in January 2025. Phase 2 of the league divides the eight teams into two pools of four sides each.

During Phase 2, teams will lock horns with their respective pool opponents, trying to solidify their positions on the points table. Then the teams securing the top four spots will advance to the semi-finals.

The final of the men’s Hockey India League 2024-25 will take place on February 1, 2025. Rourkela’s Birsa Munda Hockey Stadium will host 40 games, while Ranchi’s Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Astroturf Hockey Stadium will stage four matches.
