1. Brian Lara (111 Tests, 195 innings)
The former West Indies captain made his debut in December 1990. 111 Tests and close to 14 years later, Lara managed to complete the 10000-run landmark. The Champions Trophy 2004 winner reached the landmark during a Test match against England in August 2004. However, West Indies went on to lose the match by seven wickets.

2. Sachin Tendulkar (266 ODIs, 259 innings)
The highest run getter of all time in Tests and ODI achieved the 10000-run landmark in 50-over format in 2001. He made his ODI debut in December 1989 and 12 years later, the 2011 World Cup winner crossed the landmark in a game against Australia which India won. Tendulkar hit 139 runs in the game.

3. Kumar Sangakkara (115 Tests, 195 innings)
The T20 World Cup 2014 winner made his Test debut in 2000 and 12 years later, the left-hander completed his 10000 Test during the Boxing Day Test against Australia in 2012 which the Lankan Lions lost by an innings and 201 runs.
4. Ricky Ponting (118 Tets, 206 innings)
The T20 World Cup 2024 winning head coach made his Test debut in 1996. Close to 12 years later, Dravid completed the landmark during a Test match against South Africa in Chennai. The match ended in a tame draw with the Proteas scoring 540 all-out and 331/5 while India scoring 627 all-out.
6. Sourav Ganguly (272 ODIs, 263 innings)
The former India skipper made his debut in 1992 and more than 13 years later, managed to reach the landmark during an ODI game against Sri Lanka which was won by the Lankan Lions. Ganguly scored 51 runs in 110 balls.
7. Younis Khan (116 Tests, 208 innings)
The T20 World Cup 2009 winning captain made his Test debut in 2000 and is the only Pakistani to reach the 10000-run landmark in Tests. Khan reached the landmark during his farewell series against the West Indies in 2017. Pakistan won the game by seven wickets.
8. Jacques Kallis (286 ODIs, 272 innings)
One of the greatest all-rounders during his era, Kallis Made his ODI debut in 1996. 13 years later, the right-hander completed the landmark in a match against Australia. South Africa won that game by three wickets.
9. Mahela Jayawardene (127 Tests, 210 innings)
Another T20 World Cup 2014 winning member completed the landmark during a Test match against South Africa at the end of 2011. Notably, this was Sri Lanka’s first-ever Test win in South Africa. Jayawardene didn’t have the best game with the bat but managed to reach the landmark.
10. MS Dhoni (320 ODIs, 273 innings)
The two-time World Cup winning captain made his ODI debut in late 2004 and close to 14 years later, managed to get past the landmark during an ODI against England. India went on to lose that game.
