He is the second-most successful captain after Ricky Ponting (165 wins) in ODIs. For the Indian record, he has led the team in most matches and won most games as captain. He scored 6641 runs in 172 innings at an average of 53.56 with six centuries and 47 half-centuries. Dhoni has the most runs as an Indian captain and the second-most overall.
