Delhi Capitals will take on Royal Challengers Bengaluru in their second match in Women’s Premier League 2025. The match will be held at the Kotambi Stadium in Vadodara on February 17. Last met in the Final of the last edition in March 2024, in which Smriti Mandhana’s RCB won its first WPL title by defeating the back-to-back finalists. Sophie Molineux was the big impact for the RCB with her match-winning spell of 3 for 20. Delhi will now seek to make amends for that heartbreaking loss this Monday.

The Delhi Capitals’ campaign began against the Mumbai Indians in WPL 2025. Meanwhile, the Royal Challengers Bengaluru faced the Gujarat Giants in the inaugural match of the tournament. Under captain Smriti Mandhana’s leadership, the RCB started their title defense with a six-wicket victory this Friday, not flustered in the slightest by a gigantic target of 201 runs in front of them. A rapid knock from Indian wicket-keeper Richa Ghosh ensured an RCB victory with nine balls remaining, as she struck seven sixes and four boundaries. Also chipping in with a vital half-century for the chase was Aussie batter Ellyse Perry. For her incredible innings in the match, Richa was named Player of the Match. They now hope to continue that winning run against the two-time finalists.
