Expert Take
This matchup could play a major role in the powerplay phase. De Kock likes to go hard in the first few overs, especially with his clean hitting and early boundary options. But Siraj’s pace, bounce, and movement with the new ball can trouble even the best openers.
The fact that De Kock has hit 5 sixes and still been dismissed twice shows this battle has risk-reward written all over it.
If Quinton de Kock gets going, KKR can get a flying start. But if Mohammed Siraj wins this mini-battle early, it could set the tone for Gujarat Titans’ bowling attack. This is a match-defining duel to watch in the powerplay.
