RCB has procured Tim Seifert as a replacement for Jacob Bethell, who will play for England’s national side. Bethell will depart after Sunrisers Hyderabad on May 23, 2025, and Seifert will then join RCB on May 24. The New Zealand wicket keeping-batter has 66 T20I caps to his name and 1,540 runs to his credit. He will be joining RCB for a price of INR 2 Crores.
This is the second overseas changes made by RCB in this IPL. Earlier in the season, Zimbabwean pacer Blessing Muzarabani was brought in to replace South African fast bowler Lungi Ngidi. With Muzarabani having 78 wickets in T20Is and is good with bounce and angles to work on the bowling attack, he will be fit for selection from May 26, only one day before the last league game of RCB against Lucknow Super Giants on May 27.

Ngidi is on his way to the World Test Championship final 2025 against Australia. Honestly, he had a pretty good season: three crucial wickets with a two-run win over Chennai Super Kings. In fact, the timing of these changes couldn’t be worse for RCB, who will anyway remain gritless with their leading bowler Josh Hazlewood out with a shoulder injury.
