MS Dhoni is 44 and still surprises us with his fitness and what he has achieved. Even after he stopped playing international cricket in 2020, the old India captain is still important in the IPL. His quick movements are proof that he really cares about himself.
Dhoni sets an example with his habits. He recently said that Indians, young and old, are not as fit as they used to be. He said at a function in Ranchi that he makes sure his daughter is active.
Dhoni said that kids are not as active as they were, so Indians are less fit overall. He sees that even his daughter doesn’t exercise much, so they have to think of ways to keep her moving. He said that many people don’t play sports.
Dhoni started playing for his country in 2004 and became the captain in 2007. People knew him for being calm when leading and for being very fit.
He is the only captain to have won all the big ICC titles: T20 World Cup, ODI World Cup and Champions Trophy. Dhoni’s focus on fitness and his understanding of the game was key to his success.
Even after he stopped playing for his country, he still wants to stay fit and do well. This was clear during the 2025 IPL.

Dhoni is the oldest player in the league now. He may not be as good as he was when he was younger but he is still good at finishing games. In a match against LSG, he scored 26 runs in 11 balls and helped CSK win. He was the Player of the Match, the oldest player to ever get that award.
His performances are still inspiring the young players, proving that anyone can do well with hard work, no matter the age.
