Rishabh Pant is being hailed as a kind soul after he paid for the tuition of a bright young girl from Karnataka to get into college. People all over India are cheering for Pant for helping a student who deserves a good education.
Jyoti Kanaboor Math from Rabakavi village scored well in her Class 12 exams but was struggling to pay for college as her family didn’t have enough money. Pant’s help came at the right time. She scored 83% in her II PUC board exams. Even though she wanted to go to college, her family’s financial problems made it difficult. Her father Teerthayya runs a small tea shop and couldn’t afford to pay for her schooling.
Anil Hunashikatti, a contractor from the same village, stepped in to help. He promised to get Jyoti into the BCA program at BLDE College in Jamkhandi and find some money to pay for it.
Anil contacted his friends in Bengaluru. They knew Rishabh Pant and told him about Jyoti’s situation. Rishabh Pant was moved by her story and offered to help. On July 17, he sent Rs 40,000 directly to the college to pay for Jyoti’s first-semester fees.

Jyoti was very thankful to Rishabh Pant. She said, I finished my II PUC in Galagali and really wanted to study for a Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) degree. But we didn’t have much money at home. I asked Anil Hunashikatti anna (brother) for help and he contacted his friends in Bengaluru. They told Rishabh Pant about my situation and he helped me.
She added, I hope God blesses Rishabh Pant with good health. His help is very important to me. I hope he helps other students from poor families like me.Rishabh Pant has earned a lot of brownie points by helping a student from a small village without asking for anything in return. His act of kindness is an example of how sportsmen can make a real difference in people’s lives.
This shows how helping others can bring about positive change and give hope to those who need it. Pant’s actions go beyond the cricket field, proving that athletes can be good human beings who use their success to help others achieve their dreams. By helping Jyoti, Pant not only educated her but also inspired many others to think about giving back to society.
