Moeen Ali, the former England all-rounder who could spin the ball, and Adil Rashid, England’s go-to guy for wickets in limited-overs cricket, have been talking about who they think will be the next big stars in the game.
Both Moeen and Rashid think Harry Brook, England’s white-ball captain, Shubman Gill, who leads India in Tests, and Yashasvi Jaiswal, an Indian opening batsman, are going to be huge. But when it came to picking the fourth player, they disagreed. Moeen went with New Zealand’s Rachin Ravindra, while Rashid chose England’s Jacob Bethell.
Brook has been a busy man since his debut in international cricket for England back in January 2022.So far, he’s played in 30 Test matches, 29 ODIs, and 47 T20Is. In those games, he’s scored 2820, 947, and 873 runs, respectively. Gill, on the other hand, has racked up 2647 runs in 37 Tests, 2775 runs in 55 ODIs, and 578 runs in 21 T20Is.

Moeen Ali had good things to say about Shubman Gill, especially after watching him bat in the recent Test series against England.
Gill is just great to watch. His batting seems so easy, particularly in the series over in England, he looked even better. He’s a player with real class, a joy to watch because of his style and technique. You can tell a lot about a batter from certain shots they play and the way they go about it. Not many players can do what he does. Right now, he seems totally in control at the crease. Moeen said.
Moeen also rates Yashasvi Jaiswal really, really highly.He thinks that two of the big four should be Indian players, and he’s sure that Jaiswal deserves that second spot.You have to put two players from India. Jaiswal is a total player. I would put him in. He has done well on difficult pitches in India, not just flat ones. He was amazing in Australia and did well in England too. He is a hard guy to bowl to. When you see him play, he doesn’t seem to have any weakness. He’s very good against spin. Joff may have troubled him a bit, but still this guy is quality. I like his style a lot. He will get a lot of runs,” he added.
Moeen said if choosing five, he would want Brook, Gill, Jaiswal, Ravindra and Bethell around him. But Rashid is sold on Brook, Gill, Jaiswal and Bethell.
