India’s batsmen are on fire at the Asia Cup! They have reached the Super Four without losing a single match. Fresh from a big win over Pakistan, they have two more to go to reach the final.
Sanju Samson is keeping well. Though he hasn’t had much batting to do, he’s still making an impact. As India gets ready to face Sri Lanka, Samson is close to breaking a record.
After some discussion, Sanju Samson was included in the Asia Cup team and has been showing off his skills behind the wickets. The Indian batsmen have been on fire so Samson didn’t get to bat much initially. He finally got to bat against Oman and scored a half century.

Even after a tough game against Pakistan in the Super Four, Samson is preparing for the next game. Before the game against Bangladesh, he’s close to a big achievement. He has 930 runs in 46 T20Is. He’s just behind Gautam Gambhir who has 932 runs in 37 matches. Gambhir is in the list of Indian batsmen with most runs in this format. Samson needs just 3 more runs to go past his head coach on this list.
After winning the Asia Cup 2023, India had a great start to the Asia Cup 2025 by beating UAE in their first game. Then they beat Pakistan in the group stage. In the Super Four they beat Pakistan again easily.
Since they haven’t lost, they have two more games to go before the final. On 24th and 26th of September, Suryakumar Yadav and the team will play Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. They hope to win both to ensure they make it to the Asia Cup 2025 final on 28th of September.
