Many big names in Australian cricket held a gathering at the Crown Palladium of Melbourne for the 2025 Australian Cricket Awards.
As the men’s Test team awaits the second match of their series in Sri Lanka, its fellow men stars together with the victorious women’s team walk up the blue carpet.
A number of awards were given to both Mens and women’s cricket team players the awards included Shane Warne Test Cricketer of the Year, bestowed upon Josh Hazlewood, somewhat incredulously considering, he played fully in just five of the nine Tests during the voting period.
Heart got 20 votes to Head’s 19 and Cummins’ 16, with his player votes outnumbering ones from the media and umpires.
Head was declared ODI Player of the Year, ahead of his teammate Alex Carey (12), and Steve Smith and Xavier Bartlett (11 each) with 14 votes even after he took part in a mere five of the 11 ODIs within the voting frame.
