The extravaganza of Indian Premier League 2025 (IPL 2025) has started and three matches of the tournament were played last weekend. Teams such as defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders, three-time finalists Royal Challengers Bangalore, 2008 and 2016 winners, Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad and five-time winners, Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians played each other. On Monday, March 24, Delhi Capitals and Lucknow Super Giants played each other. In only the second game of the tournament, the first century of the tournament was scored.
In the ongoing 18th season, most of the top retentions have performed for the respective sides. Even the ones who have found a new team, they have started the tournament with a big score. However, we have picked the top five run getters of the tournament. The highest run getter at the end of the season will win the Orange Cap. Punjab Kings and Gujarat Titans are the last two teams to have opened their campaign. Every team has now played a game each.
