Three-time IPL runners-up Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) managed to build a decent squad during the two-day mega auction held in November last year. Even former India spin spearhead, Ravichandran Ashwin praised the team management on his YouTube channel. Meanwhile, the Red Army is searching for their maiden Men’s IPL title, with their Women’s team having clinched the WPL 2024 title.
The three-time finalists retained only three players from last year out of the maximum limit of six. They have managed to get back a few more players from the 2024 season while getting some new names. Without further ado, let’s discuss four overseas players who will easily make it into the playing XI of RCB.

Four overseas players who will make it to RCB playing XI
1. Phil Salt
The England opening batter in white-ball cricket and IPL 2024 winner with the Kolkata Knight Riders is certain to play. He is a wicket-keeper batter who also opens the batting. His inclusion would give the team a cushion of either playing an extra bowler or a batter. Not to forget, Salt attacks the bowling right from the word go which makes him a certainty.
2. Tim David/Liam Livingstone
The Australia T20 international has made a comeback in the team after 2021. In the last three seasons, he played for Mumbai Indians and did well as a number seven batter. On the other hand, Livingstone didn’t live up to the expectations for the Punjab Kings. However, his batting form for England post the T20 World Cup 2024 became a reason why the team signed him. With Krunal Pandya in the side as well, only one of them (either David or Livingstone) can play.
3. Josh Hazlewood
The two-time ODI World Cup for Australia is back in the team after the 2022 season. He didn’t play in the 2023 season due to injury and missed the last season due to paternity leave. This time around, the T20 World Cup 2021 winner is available to play and the Royal Challengers would like to utilize his services.

4. Nuwan Thushara
The lesser known Sri Lanka international played for MI last season. He showcased his ability to swing the ball with a slinging action. For those who are not aware, Thushara has a T20I hat-trick against Bangladesh. Bengaluru would like to play him as one of their main bowlers.
