After the departure of Hardik Pandya to Mumbai Indians, Shubman Gill captained Gujarat Titans in IPL 2024. It was a mixed bag for Gill, with the captaincy pressure taking a little toll on his batting performances.
Despite that, the right-hand batter accumulated 426 runs in 12 innings at a strike rate of 147.40. His run tally also included a hundred against Chennai and two fifties.

Shubman Gill IPL Auction Price & History:
Shubman Gill made enough noise to get his first IPL deal in 2018. After his impressive performance in the 2018 Under-19 World Cup, Kolkata Knight Riders signed him for INR 1.8 crore.
Gill stayed with Kolkata for four seasons before the franchise parted ways after 2021. But before the 2022 auction, IPL’s new entrants, Gujarat Titans, signed him as their marquee player for INR 8 crore.
