The Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) stand out, as they hold the top four scores in the league’s history, showcasing their strength in this high-scoring period. Here’s a rundown of the five highest team totals ever in the IPL:
1. SRH 287-3 vs RCB, IPL 2024
In match 30 of IPL 2024 held in Bengaluru, SRH faced RCB and together they scored a record 549 runs in 40 overs. SRH set the all-time highest total of 287-3 after batting first. Travis Head was a star, smashing 102 runs off just 41 balls with nine fours and eight sixes. Heinrich Klaasen also contributed with a quick 67 off 31. SRH finished strong, scoring 87 runs in the last five overs. Even with Dinesh Karthik’s 83 off 35 for RCB, they fell short by 25 runs.
2. SRH 286-6 vs Rajasthan Royals, IPL 2025
Kicking off IPL 2025, SRH put up a massive 286-6 against Rajasthan Royals in match two at Hyderabad. Travis Head started strong with 67 off 31 balls, and Ishan Kishan led the scoring with an unbeaten 106 off 47. Nitish Kumar Reddy and Heinrich Klaasen added useful runs at the end, helping SRH win by 44 runs thanks to great bowling from Harshal Patel and Simarjeet Singh.
3. SRH 278-3 vs KKR, IPL 2025
In their last league match against KKR, SRH scored 278-3. Heinrich Klaasen had an explosive knock, hitting 105 not out from just 39 balls. Travis Head also played well, scoring 76 off 40 balls. Abhishek Sharma and Ishan Kishan chipped in with quick runs as SRH set a tough score.

4. SRH 277-3 vs Mumbai Indians, IPL 2024
A week before the KKR match, SRH posted 277-3 against Mumbai Indians, contributing to a high-scoring matchup. Travis Head led off with 62 runs from 24 balls, while Abhishek Sharma also made 63 off 23. Heinrich Klaasen topped the score sheet with an aggressive 80 off 34 balls.
5. KKR 272-7 vs Delhi Capitals, IPL 2024
Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) scored 272-7 against Delhi Capitals in match 16 of IPL 2024. Sunil Narine lit up the innings with 85 off 39 balls, and Angkrish Raghuvanshi added 54 from 27. With good cameos from Andre Russell and Rinku Singh, KKR clinched the win by 106 runs.
