Litton Das started his One Day International (ODI) career on January 15, 2015 against Zimbabwe. He soon became famous for his aggressive batting and wicketkeeping. Growing up in a cricket loving family Litton started playing cricket at a young age. He improved his skills by playing in local tournaments, often with older players which gave him a competitive edge. All his hard work paid off when he was selected for the Under-19 World Cup in 2012. He showed a lot of ability and caught the eyes of national team selectors.
Before playing internationally Litton was impressive in domestic cricket, playing for Bangladesh A team and Khulna Division. His consistent and explosive batting got him noticed and he became a regular in the domestic scene. His play in these leagues opened the door for him to join the national team.

Throughout his career Das has hit many milestones. One of his best moments was during the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup where he was the key for Bangladesh. Liton did very well, scored 94 against India and then 120 against West Indies, showed he could play well when it matters most.
By 2021 Litton had cemented his place as one of the best cricketer of Bangladesh. He was one of the top scorer in both ODI and T20. His reliable performance in shorter format and quick work as a Wicketkeeper has made him someone who performs well under pressure.
In March 2021 Bangladesh went to New Zealand for 3 ODIs and 3 T20Is. They didn’t do well with the bat in either series. Litton Das first captained Bangladesh in the 3rd T20I as the regular captain Mahmudullah was injured. They lost that rain affected match by 65 runs and lost the T20I series 3-0.
When Tamim Iqbal got injured Das was made captain for the 3 ODI series against India in December 2022. Bangladesh won the first two ODIs by 1 wicket and 5 runs respectively. They lost the 3rd ODI by 227 runs but still won the series 2-1.
After Shakib Al Hasan’s injury Das was made Bangladesh’s 12th Test captain. He scored 9 and 66 runs and had 6 dismissals in two innings. Bangladesh won by the biggest margin in terms of runs in their history which was also the 3rd biggest overall and the biggest in a Test match this century. In T20 format Litton Das has captained 11 matches, won 8 and lost only 3.
