Rajasthan Royals (RR) is an IPL team. They had a dream start, winning the first ever IPL in 2008 under Shane Warne’s leadership. In that final, RR beat Chennai Super Kings by 3 wickets on the last ball. CSK batted first, scoring 163/5 in 20 overs, with Suresh Raina scoring 43 and MS Dhoni making 29 not out.
Yusuf Pathan shone with the ball, taking 3 wickets for 22 runs in 4 overs. When RR chased 164, Sohail Tanvir scored the winning run on the last ball, giving RR their first IPL title. Recently they were runners up in 2022. In IPL 2024 they made it to the playoffs but lost in Qualifier 2.

Batting Coach: Vikram Rathour
Vikram Rathour, who coached the Indian team from 2019 to 2024 is now RR’s batting coach. Rathour played 6 tests and 7 ODIs for India in the 90s. He has a lot of coaching experience, having coached Punjab in domestic cricket and being a national selector.
Bowling Coach: Shane Bond
Shane Bond, a former fast bowler from New Zealand is the new bowling coach. Bond was known for his pace and took 87 wickets in 18 tests, 147 in 82 ODIs and 25 in 20 T20Is. After he retired from playing he coached bowling for Mumbai Indians and the New Zealand team.
Fielding Coach: Dishant Yagnik
Dishant Yagnik, a former wicketkeeper-batter who has been with RR for a long time is still the fielding coach. He played 25 IPL games for RR and then moved into coaching where he shares his wicketkeeping and fielding skills.
Director of Cricket: Kumar Sangakkara
Kumar Sangakkara, a Sri Lankan legend has been with the Royals for a while, starting as head coach and now as Director of Cricket. He is often involved in making important decisions for the franchise, especially at the auction.
Zubin Bharucha: Director of High Performance
Zubin Bharucha is a former Indian first-class cricketer who played for Bombay and Surrey County Cricket Club. He was the team director of Rajasthan Royals from 2008 to 2015 and has been the Director of High Performance since 2018.
Sairaj Bahutule: Spin Bowling Coach
Sairaj Bahutule has been with the team from 2018 to 2021. He has a lot of international and domestic experience. A strong player in Indian domestic cricket, Bahutule has taken 630 wickets and scored 6,000 runs in first-class cricket.
