Ranji Trophy Plate Group 2025-26 will take place from October 15, 2025, to January 26, 2026. It will feature 6 teams competing in first-class cricket. Each team plays the others once in the group stage. The top four teams qualify for the knockout phase. The winner of the Plate Group will be promoted to the Elite Group for the next season (2026-27).
The six Plate Group teams are Arunachal Pradesh, Bihar, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, and Sikkim. The matches are scheduled to be played in home and away formats during the group stage.
The Plate Group format involves the top four teams progressing to the knockout stage, while the bottom two teams compete to determine the fifth and sixth places. The Plate Group winner earns promotion to the Elite Group for the subsequent season.
