A dynamic Women’s T20 tournament occurs in the T20 Spring Challenge 2025, in which the best domestic teams of the Women’s Big Bash League, along with the ACT Meteors, feature. An October 2025 commencement is planned for the tournament, which will be held at different venues across Australia.
Teams entered for this competition include Adelaide Strikers Women, Australian Capital Territory Meteors, Brisbane Heat Women, Hobart Hurricanes Women, Melbourne Renegades Women, Melbourne Stars Women, Perth Scorchers Women, Sydney Sixers Women, and Sydney Thunder Women.
Round-robin matches determine semifinalists and finalists. Teams earn points for wins, and net run rate (NRR) is the tie-breaker in the standings.
Tournament Format
- Each team plays multiple matches in the round-robin stage.
- Points are awarded as follows:
- Win: 2 points
- No Result/Tie: 1 point
- Loss: 0 points
- Net Run Rate (NRR) is used to separate teams tied on points.
- The top four teams qualify for the semifinals.
- Winners of the semifinals face off in the grand final to decide the champion.
