The Duleep Trophy is among India’s premier First-Class tournaments that brings all top domestic stars to compete against each other on the basis of different zonal categories. It was introduced by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in 1961–62, and since then, every year, it has been played once every year.
This is a great platform for the players to get recognized and get into the Indian test side. The upcoming season will be the 62nd edition of the Duleep Trophy. Six zonal teams will take part in the competition: East, West, North, South, Central, and Northeast, and it will be played between August 28 and September 11.
South Zone and West Zone have already qualified through the semifinal on the basis of their past performances. Hence, the other four teams will play two quarterfinals, and the top sides will make it to the final.
