The TNPL(Tamil Nadu Premier League) is a men’s Twenty 20(T20) Cricket league established by the Tamil Nadu Association (TNCA) In 2016. This league is an annual festival of domestic cricket in india. Having completed seven successful seasons, TNPL is yet again set to start another season featuring a total of 8 teams. The TNPL runs from June to August each year and follows a round-robin format with playoffs. As of 2023, Lyca Kovai Kings are the reigning champions, while the Chepauk Super Gillies hold the record for the most titles, having won four times.
The Trichy Grand Cholas team is one of the eight city-based franchises competing in the league, showcasing top-tier cricket talent from the region. Known for their competitive spirit and skilled lineup of players across batting, bowling, and all-round capabilities, they consistently strive to make their mark in every season of the Tamil Nadu Premier League.
