On Tuesday, the ace player of Ace India and Royal Challengers Bengaluru further augmented his already towering glories by clinching the Indian Premier League crown. Apart from that, the majestic WTC final being the very recent addition, Kohli can boast of almost every important title and is hungry for many as he enters the elder years of his career.
Let’s glance through some of the major triumphs in his career time:
ODI World Cup:
When Kohli lifted the 2011 World Cup title, he was only 22, three years into his international career. In this tournament, he bagged 282 runs in nine matches, averaging 35.25, including a century in the very first game. He then went on to appear in 3 more World Cups, which he reached the semis twice and ended once as a runner-up.
T20 World Cup:
Kohli after a long wait finally won the T20 World Cup title, and it happened to be his goodbye from this format. The final at Barbados was a nail-biting encounter versus South Africa and Kohli played a pivotal role, steering India to a very strong recovery after a shaky start. India had earlier won their first T20 World Cup in 2007, even before Kohli had made his debut, and after coming so close in previous editions, he does complete the feat now for his team.
Champions Trophy:
This is the only ICC trophy which Kohli has won twice. His first came in 2013 when he was only 24, and this had remained India’s biggest ICC title until the recent T20 World Cup last year. In 2025, he won it yet again, this time as the most senior player, beating New Zealand in the final.

IPL Trophy:
With this badge of victory being sometimes considered a bit below all others, the opportunity took forever to be bestowed upon Kohli. He looked back on the long wait and published on Instagram, “You’ve made me wait 18 years to be able to lift it and celebrate my friend, but it’s been worth the wait.” It took a joint effort from the entire RCB franchise to finally gift Kohli this much-coveted trophy.
