After wrapping up the 2023-25 cycle, the World Test Championship (WTC) will return with another cracking edition. The fourth cycle of the WTC will commence in June 2025 and conclude in June 2027.
As usual, nine Test-playing nations will feature in the championship. These nine teams will battle it out in six bilateral Test series each in the two-year cycle.
Of the six series, teams will play against three teams at home and the other three sides in overseas conditions. There will be 27 series part of the WTC 2025-27 cycle, with the first series taking place between England and India in June-August 2025.
A total of 71 matches will be played between nine teams in 27 Test series. The WTC 2025-27 cycle will end in June 2027 with a final match between the top two teams on the points table.
