Nat Sciver-Brunt, the star England all-rounder playing for Mumbai Indians in the current 2025 Women’s Premier League edition entered her name in the history books on Tuesday (March 11) when she became the first player to score 400 runs in one edition of the WPL. The momentous accomplishment came during the WPL 2025 game held on Tuesday at Brabourne Stadium between MI and Royal Challengers Bengaluru. Then came Sciver-Brunt.
At WPL 2025’s last league match, she scored 69 runs from 35 deliveries for the Mumbai Indians.
When Sciver-Brunt crossed the 53-run mark, she scored 400 runs in the WPL 2025 during her stay at the crease. While Sciver-Brunt is the only one to cross 400 runs, a total of six batters have notched more than 300 runs in one WPL edition.
She leads too the Orange Cap race with 416 runs in 8 games played up to WPL 2025.

Sciver-Brunt struck nine fours and two sixes in her 69-run knock against RCB, but her attempt was in vain for some runs Mumbai Indians dropped by 11 in the match. MI ended the WPL 2025 season league stage campaign in second place once more with ten points from eight games thanks to a close defeat.
MI ended second in the points table even in the first two versions of WPL as well.
MI will play Gujarat Giants in the eliminator match in Mumbai on Thursday (March 13) after missing a direct berth in the WPL final for the third season in a row, and the winner of the eliminator clash will next meet Meg Lanning’s Delhi Capitals in the WPL 2025 final on Saturday (March 15).
DC finished the points table again for the third season in a row and advanced straight into the final. The Delhi-based franchise hopes to finally win its first WPL championship this year. DC went down by seven wickets against Mumbai Indians in the last game of the first WPL and RCB beat them by eight wickets in the WPL 2024 final to win.
